Dinner's ON....A healthy salad!

A healthy salad...

Romaine lettuce....
1/2 english cucumber
slice fresh mushrooms
2 T Raw sunflower seeds
2-3 T frozen fresh green peas (thawed)
4 roasted baby potatoes (roasted in Olive oil and Herbs de Provence)
1-2 T Lite Balsamic vinegar and olive oil dressing ( or your favorite lite dressing..watch the sugar)

I love this salad...the potatoes roasted with (HDP) really adds a wonderful flavor to it...the raw sunflower seeds can be substituted with raw pumpkin seeds)
My fitness pal figures this salad at : 390 calories..( Healthy calories)
I hope you enjoy...let me know what you think..
Be well

    1. Not on a diet...I am just really focusing on my portion sizes...eating all the same healthy foods...lots of salads...lots of berries ...less high sugar fruits (tropical)...I just had to tweak my intake a little around menopause and the ever slowing down metabolism...I need to drop about 10 lbs.....I did get a little lazy during summer...not good for the aging body...it just wants to accumulate all that fat...LOL:))

  2. I just added some potatoes to my salad today - yummy. Something else I've been adding is raw shredded beets...so tasty!!! (and so alkalizing!)

  3. I must try this. My husband and I need to shed a few pounds that we gained on our recent cruise vacation. Not happy about it, but sure had fun eating...LOL! We just don't have the will power when we are surrounded by such wonderful food...all day long!

  4. This looks like a delicious salad which I will definitely try. Normally I add baby new boiled potatoes with a little olive oil and a sprinkling of mint, very English thing! But I am going to give the roast ones a go. I am also a big fan of beetroot but I have never tried it raw. Thank you for all your lovely recipes.
